The tracks of the world at Auckland Zoo.
Take an intercontintental adventure, but leave your passport at home.
Start your world tour on the plains of the Africa Safari Track, marvelling at the size of our ungulates as they stroll the savannah. Don't miss our African aviary - home to the prickly pairing of porcupines and meerkats.
Enter the Living Realm - Te Wao Nui - and explore 6 different regions of Aotearoa, from picturesque alpines to dense night forests. Encounter a nocturnal taonga in our reverse cycle kiwi house, our day is their nighttime.
From there you'll walk to the heart of the Zoo and come face-to-face with our newest development: the High Canopy of our South East Asia Jungle Track. Enter the jungle and meet its arboreal inhabitants - don't forget to swing by Te Puna on the way out.
Go walk-about to the Australia Bush Track and meet our neighbours from across the ditch. With fearsome Tasmanian devils, giant lace monitors, and our resident chatty cockatoo Captain, stop for a chat before continuing your journey.
You'll finish in our South America Rainforest Track, a lush forest-trek with primates, giant rodents and alligators. There's not usually quite the same amount of rainfall as the Amazon, but there's no guarantee with Auckland weather.
