Kaumoana and Tāwhai are two precious new additions to the Zoo’s kororā (little penguin) colony.
The calf is thriving, growing stronger and has started venturing outside.
Enjoy luminescent evenings on the Dinosaur Discovery Track - on every night from Friday 20 June - Sunday 13 July, 5pm - 8:30pm. See the stunning animatronic dinosaurs in a whole new light, a selection of brilliant animal-themed lanterns, and more.
This enchanting event is running for 24 consecutive nights, with two of those nights adults only (R18). Pre-booking online is essential and we are operating a timed-entry system for this special event.

During National Volunteer Week Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu (15-21 June 2025) visitors who volunteer at any organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand will be eligible to receive free daytime entry to our Zoo with valid ID.
