Auckland Zoo brings you Dinosaur Nights & Lights – luminescent evenings on the Dinosaur Discovery Track, on every night from Friday 20 June (Matariki) to Sunday 13 July (5pm - 8.30pm).

This exciting and unique night-time Zoo offering is an opportunity to experience the Track’s stunning animatronic dinosaurs in a whole new light (literally!) and enjoy kai and connecting with your whānau and friends as you do.

Bring your own kai or choose from the Zoo’s great food outlets, Mokonui Café and our Dinosaur Nights & Lights kai cart, that will have plenty of hot food and drink options.

Along with lighting up the dinosaurs, the Zoo is partnering with the BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival and will feature a selection of their brilliant animal-themed lanterns as part of this experience.  A ‘Silent Dino Disco’ at our Dinosaur Tent will also be on offer for those wanting to get their dino groove on!

Friday 20 June, 5pm - 8:30pm

A highlight of this evening will be a special acoustic performance by award-winning musical duo, Aro.  Husband and wife Charles (Te Rarawa, Ngaapuhi, Ngaati Te Ata Waiohua, Ngaati Mutunga) and Emily Looker are passionate about using music and storytelling to celebrate their cultural identity that includes exploring ideas of kaitiakitanga and manaakitanga – looking after ourselves, each other and our environment.
