Purchasing tickets for 5 or more people will get a 20% discount right across all general admission ticket types.

Groups of over 15 individuals need to contact us ahead of time so we can assist with your visit.

Contact us about a Group Booking

• There are three ways to pay for group bookings: in advance online - if you know your exact numbers; onsite on the day - contact us at least one day in advance to get the book in advance discount for Auckland Residents; or be invoiced for your group - this must be arranged prior to your Zoo visit.
• Booking a group means that you are agreeing to Auckland Zoo's current terms and conditions of entry.
• Groups must adhere to the adult to children ratio of at least 1 adult to 8 children (aged 0-14 years).
• Booking in advance for a group prices are:

1. If you are booking from Auckland on peak days (weekends, public and school holidays) – Adult ($24), Child ($14), Students ($20) and Seniors ($20)
2. If you are booking from Auckland on off-peak days (school term weekday) - Adult ($19), Child ($11), Students ($16.50) and Seniors ($16.50)

• If you didn’t book in advance and show up on the day, the group prices are:

1. If you are visiting from Auckland on peak days (weekends, public and school holidays) – Adult ($29), Child ($16.50), Students ($24) and Seniors ($24)
2. If you are visiting from Auckland on off-peak days (school term weekday) - Adult ($24), Child ($14), Students ($20) and Seniors ($20)

• Out of Auckland group booking can still get a 20% discount right across all International/Domestic tickets

1. If you are visiting from out of Auckland on peak days (weekends, public and school holidays) – Adult ($35), Child ($20), Students ($29) and Seniors ($29)
2. If you are visiting from out of Auckland on off-peak days (school term weekday) - Adult ($29), Child ($16.50), Students ($24) and Seniors ($24)

To provide accessible pricing for our visitors, we don’t provide bundles or families, but give a discount if you’re visiting in a group. For 3 paid tickets, you get a 10% discount, four tickets, a 15% discount and 5+ is a 20% discount. This is applied automatically and for all visitors!

We have subsidised ticketing options for Auckland Residents*, with peak (weekends, school and public holiday days) and off-peak (all other days) pricing and lower priced pre-booked options (booked before Midnight the day prior). We have a flexible ticket that is valid for 3 months for Non-Aucklanders and International visitors. 

Auckland residents*: 

• A flexible peak ticket is $29/adult and $16.50/child (4-14 years)
• A pre-booked peak ticket is $24/adult and $14/child (4-14 years)
• A pre-booked off-peak ticket is $19/adult and $11/child (4-14 years)

Concessions; Auckland Seniors and Students*:  

• A flexible peak ticket is $24
• A pre-booked peak ticket is $20
• A pre-booked off-peak ticket is $16.50

*Auckland residents need to show proof of address for all Auckland tickets. This can include utility or rates bill with proof of address, Auckland Libraries card, Auckland Council pool and leisure membership card, Auckland school or tertiary student card.

Visitors from outside of Auckland, including international visitors:

• A flexible ticket is $39/adult and $22/child (4-14 years)

Concessions: Non-Auckland/International Seniors and Students: 

• A flexible ticket is $30

Infants (0-3 years): are free

All children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
