We've got an update for you on the growth and development of rhino calf Amali - the newest member of Zoo's Southern white rhinoceros herd!

Amali (meaning ‘Hope’) was born in the early hours of 24 September, so she is currently just over one month old. As ungulates keeper Dan explains in our video below, she has been busy exploring her habitat with mum Jamila and big sister Nyah – including lots of zoomies, and rolling around in the herd’s relaxing mud wallow.

Bring your whānau to see her this weekend!
