Annual Passes

Your support means the world to us, and the animals that we care for here at the Zoo and in the wild. We have extended your membership for the period that we have been closed due to COVID-19. In addition, we have extended all current memberships for the period we could not open fully up to Alert Level 3 Step 2. So, if you didn’t manage to secure a booking when we were open to members only, you won’t miss out and will still receive your full 12-months’ membership. You don’t need to contact us to receive this additional period of membership as we’ll change your end-date automatically

Due to current Traffic Light RED government guidelines and current limitations of the Zoo site we need to limit the number of people onsite and stagger the times that people arrive to avoid crowds and ensure we can safely physically distance.

As an annual pass member there is of course, no charge, but you are required to book ahead, and choose a session. In fairness to other members, we ask that during this time you only book one session (visit) to enable as many other members as possible to also be able to visit.

You can book your session here.

No – there is no charge! All your visits are covered through your annual membership. However, we need you to pre-book due to our limited capacity and physical distancing requirements under Traffic Light RED.

You can book your session here.

At Traffic Light RED, your non-member family and friends can come to the zoo. If you are arriving at the zoo together you can purchase a discounted ticket when making your booking online. If you are coming separately, they will need a separate General Admission advanced booking. No general admission tickets will be sold on site.

Only visitors that have pre-booked sessions are able to visit, they can be booked here.

Please contact us as soon as you know you are unable to make it and we can rebook you for a later time or cancel your booking. Your booking reserves a spot in our allocation, and by not showing up to your session you will be stopping other members from visiting the zoo. You can contact us by replying to the email you received to confirm your booking, by emailing reservations@aucklandzoo.co.nz, or calling us on 09 360 3805.

If all the member visit sessions are booked out, we have reached capacity for member admissions. Keep checking our website as people who cannot visit in their timeslot may cancel and free up space.

Day passes cannot be purchased and refunded in place of a member visit, so if a general admission day pass is purchased it will be redeemed as your entry for that day.

We are now able to offer annual pass renewals. We highly recommend renewing only before your visit so you can make the most of your visit.

Renew here.

Yes, just remember to make your member visit booking here. Use your order number where your membership number would be typed. You will be able to collect your annual pass when you visit.

We are currently working on a way for members to access their membership themselves, but for now the best way is to email us at annual.passes@aucklandzoo.co.nz or call us during opening hours.

Yes, we will refund any valid tickets or vouchers that cannot be used because the holder does not have a verified My Vaccine Pass. Current members who do not have a My Vaccine Pass can either request that their membership is put on hold until My Vaccine Passes are no longer required, or a refund. The Zoo we will refund each full month remaining on a current membership (minimum one month).
