Zoo Shop FAQs

Auckland Zoo’s online shop accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. 

Our online store holds a smaller variety of products that our physical store. If you can’t find the product you want or you need some help choosing, please contact us at shop@aucklandzoo.co.nz or on +64 9 376 3035 and we will do our best to assist you. 

Orders can be added to, cancelled or delivery addresses changed any time before they are shipped. To make changes to your order, email us at shop@aucklandzoo.co.nz.

Auckland Zoo Shop is dedicated to providing quality products to its customers. If you would like to return an item, contact us immediately on +64 9 376 3035 or via email at shop@aucklandzoo.co.nz. Please see our Refund Policy for further information.  

Orders are shipped Monday-Friday, excluding Public Holidays. Orders are generally processed and shipped within 3 business days of being placed. Processing times are subject to product availability and we will advise you by email if there is an expected delay. All orders are sent with NZ Couriers or Urgent Couriers. Delivery is available to physical addresses only, excluding PO Box and Private Bag addresses. 

If you have selected Local pickup, your order should be ready in 1-2 business days. You will receive an collection notification email when your order is ready to be collected. 

For orders shipped within Auckland and the North Island, please allow 2-3 business days for delivery. 

For orders delivering to rural addresses and the south island, please allow an extra business day for delivery. 

Delivery of orders placed around public holiday times may take longer than the target delivery times set out above. 

We currently ship within New Zealand only. 

We don’t currently offer a Saturday delivery service, but email us at shop@aucklandzoo.co.nz to discuss 

Shipping rates are calculated using product weights and the destination of your order. Once you have completed the shipping address in the checkout process the shipping fee will be added to your order. Alternatively, you can select free Local Pickup to collect from the Auckland Zoo Shop during opening hours. 

If you have selected Local Pickup, your order should be ready in 1-2 business days. You will receive an collection notification email when your order is ready to be collected. Please bring a copy of this email with you (paper or digital) and valid photo ID.  

If you are unable to collect your order yourself please let us know by emailing shop@aucklandzoo.co.nz to advise who will be collecting on your behalf. They will need to provide valid photo ID to collect the order. 

You can collect your order from the Auckland Zoo Shop during regular opening hours. Orders are held for 14 days after the collection notification email is sent.
