Animal experiences keepers Emma and Shannon demonstrate how we work with our birds so that they feel safe and comfortable when it comes time for a vet check.
The animal experiences team have been working with our parrots to teach them some exciting new skills that allow our vets to check them over thoroughly with positive reinforcement training - which is actually very enriching for these intelligent animals.
