A breathtakingly tall Brachiosaurus and crocodile-mimicking Suchomimus are among pre-historic giants making their way to our Dinosaur Discovery Track – set to re-open on Wednesday 10 June 2026!
Following last year’s popular activation, this Dinosaur Discovery Track experience (free with regular Zoo entry) is an opportunity for all ages to discover many intriguing new species and reconnect with some 2025 favourites, like the Tyrannosaurus rex - that this time has offspring!
We’re once again working with world-leading dinosaur creators - The Dinosaur Company, to bring you this highly immersive and interactive educational experience that will be highlighting nature’s terrestrial and marine giants (past and present), delving into their physical attributes and how they communicated and reproduced.
You can look forward to exploring 20 pre-historic animatronic replicas of 15 different species (that move and roar!) and span the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods. There’s everything from long-necked sauropods like Brachiosaurus and Amargasaurus to theropods (like Tyrannosaurus and Troodon) and hadrosaurs – including a Parasaurolophus.
Open from 9.30am – 4pm daily, the Track will once again offer you the opportunity to try your hand as a palaeontologist and take part in fossil digs and get along to daily talks by our expert (and very passionate!) Dinosaur Rangers. To cater to all, we’ll also have “quiet times” (no sound or movement) on Tuesday mornings and the first Sunday of every month between 9.30am – 11am.
Be sure to keep an eye on our socials and website as we’ll be bringing you more updates!
