Check out this incredible artwork from a future conservationist and aspiring zoo-vet. Friend of the zoo Hazel hand-delivered these drawings for our Vet Hospital team which feature a beautifully illustrated kiwi and Sumatran tiger.
Emma says that her daughter Hazel is a massive Auckland Zoo fan and that our head of veterinary services, Dr James Chatterton, is one of her heroes. She loves watching our Zoo Tales video series and plans to be a zoo vet when she grows up!
Her mum snapped this picture of Hazel when they met James for the first time late last year, when our incredible high canopy habitat for orangutans and siamang was first opened.
