On arrival you’ll receive your bugs activity booklet, and if you’ve booked a Bug Lab/Zoo combo ticket, you’ll also be given your own wearable antennae - so you and your family can join the fun and tune in to this special holiday adventure that will have you buzzing!
Travel the tunnel into the Zoo’s bug dome – home to Te Papa and Weta Workshop’s magical interactive Bug Lab exhibition where you’re the little guys and these beautiful bugs are the giants. You’ll encounter everything from the brilliant brain surgeon jewel wasp, to flight hero ranger dragonfly and the master blaster bombardier beetle!
Out in the Zoo there’s live bugs to check out, and daily bug encounters with zoo keepers where you can learn more about their unique and genius super powers.
