Maintenance works
Auckland Zoo is constantly changing with new animal arrivals, births and improvements to the Zoo grounds. We regret any inconvenience that maintenance work may cause during your visit.
Animals off-display, areas under construction or undergoing maintenance:
- Our whio (blue duck) are off-display in the High Country hut aviary. Red and yellow kakariki are on display.
- The Watering Hole cafe is closed due to maintenance works.
- There are no meerkats on display in the meerkat tunnel exhibit, due to maintenance on the enclosure.
- Our African porcupine have been moved to the nocturnal house at the entrance to the Zoo
