Be a zookeeper for a day with our Junior Keeper programme

Young people (6 to 13 years) with a keen interest in animals can be a Junior Keeper for a day. 

Run by our passionate team of Discovery and Learning educators, this fun interactive educational programme offers first-hand experience of a zookeeper's role and opportunities to see wildlife up close.

Day courses are offered during the school holidays, activities include helping to clean, feed and care for various Zoo animals as well as exploring other parts of the Zoo.
