Suggested timetable for your day out at Auckland Zoo
- Arrive at the Zoo at a time suitable for your group
- Have an initial look around
- Have a lunch break at one of our cafes in the grounds or bring
your own picnic
- At 1pm, join one of our Zoo educators for a 45 minute session
(with time for comments and questions) in the Grasslands
Room. Remember the chimpanzee tea parties, the polar bears or
did you ride on an elephant? With the aid of a colourful
PowerPoint presentation, we will explore how zoos have changed over
the years; the reasons for holding collections of animals
now-a-days in his highly digital visual age and just what goes on
in a progressive modern zoo.
