Native Frog Research CentreOnce upon a time in the not too distant past, frogs were quite a common sight throughout the world... but not now...so what has happened? Designed to replicate the conditions of the frog's natural habitat, come and find out the answers to this question and more at the Native Frog Research Centre.
Archey's frog
• Archey's frog is one of New Zealand's four endangered endemic frog species. • It is the smallest native frog and is now only found in the Coromandel Peninsula and one site west of Te Kuiti. • The aim of the research centre is to assist with a breeding recovery programme for Archey's frog and as a powerful resource to advocate the plight of Archey's frog.
