Sea lion Shores

Sea lion Shores is home to California sea lions, New Zealand fur seals, a sub-Antarctic fur seal and shore birds.

An award-winner for its outstanding landscaping, this exhibit replicates the rich diversity of flora along New Zealand's coastline, with every plant featured being a New Zealand native.

Follow the track to the main beach to check out the sealions and fur seals frolic in the water or laze on the rocks, then make your way through the walk-through avairy to see spotted shag and white-faced heron.

A continuation of the beach track takes you down to the beach cave, where from a spectacular under-water viewing window, you can watch sea lions and fur seals swimming in their underwater haven.
